Check the Online Monthly Events Calender for complete details
Our monthly meetings usually include a topical presentation or photo slide show, often put on by a working field botanist or knowledgable local native plant specialist. Check our Online Monthly Events Calender for full dtails on upcoming monthly meeting agenda, topical programs planned and location. The public is welcome at these meetings.
Planting began fall 2006. We hope it will help the public see native plants growing beautifully. This garden demonstrates the low care requirements of native plants due to their easy adaptation to this location.
35mm slides donated to the public domain need scanning into digital format for preservation. Once in digital form they can be identified and entered into a database. The database will then be made available for educational presentations and research.
Our monthly meetings usually include a presentation. For example the Nov 2006 meeting included a botany master's thesis study of Kings canyon, California. We saw many slides of plants and flowers. Some were never identified before this study and are very rare. The public is welcome at these meetings.
Our members are called upon by other groups from time to time to make presentations.
The sale is generally held in May. These plants are nursery grown; not taken from native locations. We also have bumper stickers ,tee shirts and more so that you may donate and get something extra in return. Photos of May 2008 sale online viewing in our online Photo Gallery
Please come to our plant sale next year. We will be glad to talk native plants.
